I honestly just gave up. Loved her, love her. Always will. I ain't willingly getting over it so I'm just wating for a day where I just click and feel better. Hasn't worked. Two years. 3/10 wouldn't recommend thia method.

Going through the same. Long relationship, we lived together and it all fell apart. Less than a month later she got a new boyfriend, she even introduced us, when she was with me. It's killing me, but we must push forward. Some say that you should drink the pain away, others say go find some loose women to bang. Honestly this advise is not bad, but it doesn't work for all. Find something to keep you tethered, for me it is school work. Then work on that, keep your mind busy and soon you will live good and full life again. All the best from here

I take the "If it's meant to happen, it will. If it's not meant to happen, it won't. I'll wait and see" route. And as you "wait and see" for a short while or a long one, you get over it. Eventually. But sometimes sooner than you thought. But the "wait and see" sort of gives you something to do until then.

i loved a girl i had no chance to be with (school, distance,etc), only moved on from her when i got a gf, spent my entire relationship with barely thinking about my crush and even when i did, it was no thinking what might have been, just good memories. several years later I got in touch again with her by chance. my old attraction toward her returned pretty quick, even tho we both changed a lot over the years. she just wanted to be friends because we were not the match we used to be as our life took very different turns, but i just couldn't be that, i wanted to be more. for 2 years we courted on the verge of friendship-relationship, until i realised that if i gave up on being with her and accept the friendship she seeked, i realised that it would be pointless, as we barely had anything in common anymore, so one faithful day i took a big step and walked away. i try to not think about what she might be up to, just look forward to meeting a girl whom i can truly be together.

Life isn’t a romcom. If she let you go she did it for a reason and never wants you back. Went through the same with my previous gf. I really loved her and I thought we were perfect for each other. I thought we would eventually get married. I never felt so at peace or comfortable with anyone in my life. She genuinely felt like my second half. We lived together for a few months and I got too comfortable. I fucked up in multiple ways and she kicked me out. I held on hoping she’d forgive me and we’d get back together, but that’s not how life is most of the time. Best you stop giving yourself false hope and accept that you two will never be together again. Life moves on.

Also going through something similar, but I'm also going to be cold on this point: the relationship ended for a reason. Identify what was your responsibility and what wasn't your responsibility and make the appropriate changes. Heal and grow as a person beyond who you were before (be it new skills, better health, education, hobbies....). But do not wait and pine for your ex. Find the love you deserve.
